Recently, Newsweek voted Birmingham Green as one of the Best Nursing Homes 2023. The rankings were based on four criteria that matter most when choosing a nursing home. Existing criteria included scores for performance data, reputation, and COVID-19. An additional score for facilities accredited by the Joint Commission International, an independent, non-profit healthcare standards organization, was added this year.
In light of the pandemic, Newsweek’s COVID-19 score was measured using the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) data to identify nursing homes with the best response and protocols for COVID-19. Birmingham Green continues to provide weekly COVID-19 updates for residents, families, team members, and the community to uphold our ongoing commitment to the safety and well-being of those on our campus.
