On Monday, October 6th, Chadwick Wright, the CEO of the historic senior living facility located in Manassas, VA, will be honored with the Virginia Business 2025 Women in Leadership Award at The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, Va., for her unwavering commitment to providing affordable, dignified care for Northern Virginia’s most vulnerable older adults. These members of the community lack the resources to pay privately for long-term care, many of whom are medically frail and qualify for state funded services via Medicaid and Auxiliary Grant. Hosted by Virginia Business, The Women in Leadership Awards celebrate top women executives for their overall professional accomplishments, civic engagement, mentorship, and breaking glass ceilings.
Under Chadwick Wright’s visionary leadership, Birmingham Green has undergone a profound transformation marked by operational modernization, national recognition, and a renewed commitment to person-centered care. Her ability to align strategy with compassionate leadership has strengthened financial sustainability, improved regulatory compliance, enhanced resident engagement across the campus and has made Birmingham Green a leader in the industry.
From earning the AHCA/NCAL Silver Quality Award and top rankings in Newsweek’s Best Nursing Homes, to securing innovative technologies such as telehealth and digital engagement tools, Chadwick Wright has positioned Birmingham Green at the forefront of long-term care excellence while also leading the way for solutions on the nationwide CNA shortage. She has also championed advocacy for vulnerable populations, cultivated meaningful board and community partnerships, and received prestigious honors including the McKnight’s Woman of Distinction Hall of Honor and the ACHCA Facility Leadership Award. Her leadership not only elevated Birmingham Green’s reputation but also solidified its role as a model for compassionate, high-performing, and forward-thinking care while also providing generational change for emerging families in the area.
Chadwick Wright’s day-to-day is focused on the leadership, operations, development, and execution of the organization’s strategy, but at the heart of her role is resident-centered care delivered with dignity, accessibility, and compassion. Her ultimate vision is clear: creating a model for what affordable, high-quality, sustainable, long-term care can truly look like. It’s a vision that keeps her grounded in purpose and people – not just performance. Even still, Chadwick Wright’s results for FY 25 resulted in a favorable year, proof that women, particularly Chadwick Wright, can lead with both compassion and purpose.
“What continues to fuel my ambition is the people – especially the residents, whose resilience, humor, and wisdom remind me daily why this work matters. As I’ve grown in leadership, that motivation has evolved into something deeper. Now, what fuels me most is impact through others—creating a culture where people grow in their knowledge, confidence and feel empowered, valued, and inspired to do meaningful work delivering care with both excellence and heart.” stated Chadwick Wright.
